So before I get to the rankings, just a few thoughts:
1. I said that if BYU beat Colorado State by fewer than 21 points, I'd be surprised. Well, they only won by 19 points. So I guess I was surprised. It is a little frustrating that BYU's offense seems to stall at times with so many skill players. Hopefully Max Hall stays healthy, because Brendan Gaskins will never be the answer.
2. BYU faces TCU tomorrow. This could be the closest game BYU has had at home in well over a year. TCU beat up New Mexico by 37 points last week, and they have their star defensive end back, along with their confidence. I expect it to be a tough battle. But BYU is not overlooking the Horned Frogs. I am going to predict a 27-17 BYU victory (with TCU scoring a defensive touchdown).
3. Utah faces Wyoming at home this week. Everyone is picking Utah to win, which is probable. But I am going to predict different. If BYU wins, Utah loses. If BYU loses, Utah wins. So since I predicted BYU to win already, I guess that means I'm predicting a Utah loss. But not necessarily. We won't know my prediction until after Thursday night's game.
On to the Rankings. And remember--the numbers only lie a little bit.
