Top Games of Week One:

10. Nevada (60) at Nebraska (15). This is a good chance for the WAC to get on the national map. But Nebraska will have other plans at home. Cornhuskers will win it 35-10.

9. Wake Forest (35) at Boston College (29). This is a huge ACC game right off the bat! If the demon deacons want to repeat as conference champs, this would be an important game to win. The home team will win, though, 21-17.

8. Oklahoma State (39) at Georgia (22). There is a lot of hype over the cowboys' offense this year, and there is no better place to test it than in an SEC stadium. The bulldogs will bring expectations down to reality with a 24-12 victory.

7. Florida State (24) at Clemson (32). Another early ACC game that is sure to make a difference all year long throughout the conference race. The seminoles' new offensive coordinator will look impressive in his first game, as Bowden & Co will win it 39-28.

6. Kansas State (44) at Auburn (11). The shocker of Week One: The Wildcats will beat the Tigers 10-7.

5. LSU (2) at Mississippi State (68). An early road SEC test for LSU on their quest for the national championship. The tigers will rout the bulldogs 49-3 to get people talking.

4. Washington State (46) at Wisconsin (9). The badgers feel that they are legitimate Big Ten and national championship contenders. They will come out focused and win at home 31-17.

3. Georgia Tech (26) at Notre Dame (30). This game will show that Notre Dame has a long ways to go. The yellow jackets will win it 24-0 in South Bend.

2. Utah (50) at Oregon State (10). The Six-Pack will come out firing on all cylinders, and Brian Johnson will look great in his return to the field. The Utes go on the road for a huge season-opening victory, 38-32.

1. Tennessee (17) at California (13). The golden bears will be looking for revenge after last season's embarrasing defeat in Tennessee. The game will be closer, but the volunteers will come out victorious again, 28-24.

Other games of note:

UNLV will beat Utah State in Logan 24-7.

Colorado State will beat Colorado in Denver 31-28.

Air Force will beat South Carolina State in Colorado Springs 35-14.

Virginia will beat Wyoming in the great city of Laramie, 21-20.

BYU will beat Arizona 28-10.

Baylor will lose at TCU in a closer game than expected. Score will be 25-24.

New Mexico at UTEP. The lobos will win it easily 45-17 to garner some MWC attention.
