So here you have it. There was no big surprise with Southern California at the top. The SEC got six teams into the Top 25, which almost makes me want to throw up. I might as well admit that the SEC is the best conference in college football. The numbers simply don't lie.
I just pray that Florida doesn't win the championship again. The last thing I want to see is Joakim Noah storming the field and doing this.
TCU comes in as the #1 team from the Mountain West Conference. They ended last year on a roll by winning their last eight games. And they return almost their entire team. The Mountain West has an opportunity to assert themselves early. TCU plays Texas (#8). Utah has a trio of games at Oregon State (#10), at Louisville (#7), and at home to UCLA (#20).
One of the teams I'll be looking at much more closely this year is Hawaii (#16). They should have some entertaining games, with their high-scoring offense coming back. Unfortunately, they are not as good on the Mainland, and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish the season with 2 or 3 losses.
